Independent Contractor Status
Drivers using the Selfie Ride platform operate as independent contractors. They are not employees, agents, or representatives of Selfie Ride. Selfie Ride does not control the manner or means by which drivers provide transportation services, and drivers are free to set their own schedules and accept or decline ride requests.
Driver Responsibilities
- Provide safe, reliable, and professional transportation services to all passengers.
- Maintain a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained vehicle at all times.
- Treat all passengers with courtesy and respect.
- Follow all applicable traffic laws and regulations.
- Accurately represent your services and availability on the platform.
Vehicle Requirements
Drivers are solely responsible for their own vehicles. All vehicles used on the Selfie Ride platform must:
- Be in safe, roadworthy condition and pass all applicable inspections.
- Meet any local or state requirements for private transportation vehicles.
- Be clean and presentable for passenger transport.
- Have valid registration and all required documentation.
Insurance Responsibility
Drivers are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining adequate vehicle insurance coverage as required by applicable law. Selfie Ride does not provide insurance coverage for drivers or their vehicles. It is the driver's responsibility to ensure their insurance policy covers commercial or for-hire transportation activities.
Compliance with Local Laws
Drivers are responsible for complying with all local, state, and federal laws governing private transportation services, including obtaining any required licenses, permits, or certifications. This includes compliance with transportation regulations in Florida, Puerto Rico, and any other jurisdiction in which services are provided.
Service Standards
Drivers are expected to maintain high service standards to ensure passenger satisfaction. Selfie Ride reserves the right to remove drivers from the platform who receive consistent negative feedback or who violate these terms. Drivers should be punctual, professional, and responsive to passenger needs.
Driver Earnings & Payments
As independent contractors, drivers are responsible for reporting and paying all applicable taxes on their earnings. Selfie Ride will not withhold taxes or provide employment benefits. Payment terms and rates are agreed upon between the driver and Selfie Ride prior to service. Drivers are responsible for maintaining accurate records of their earnings.
Platform Usage Rules
- Do not misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or vehicle information.
- Do not engage in any fraudulent or deceptive practices on the platform.
- Maintain the confidentiality of passenger information.
- Report any safety incidents or concerns to Selfie Ride promptly.
- Do not use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
